A high-energy mix of rock, pop, dance, country and funk...similar to what you experience from our live performances!
Little-known fact: Using different band names, the members of Libido Funk Circus have been writing, recording and releasing original music for much longer than LFC has even been around! Surprised?
Yup, it's true! Behind the scenes, we have been creating music in may different styles, including rock, pop, metal, rap, folk, electronica, hard rock, ambient, country and more. In fact, over the years, our members have collectively recorded upwards of 20 albums worth of original material...and we've even had our music played on radio ads, television shows and Discovery channel documentaries!
We understand...you have questions. We have answers. Let's get to it!
Q: After all those years of using different names to record, why release an album as Libido Funk Circus?
A: Simply put...the timing is PERFECT. In the past, using different band names allowed us to freely explore other types of music that might not fit within the "dance music" spectrum that people associate with us. Well, this time we set out to record an album that sounds like...well...sounds like Libido Funk Circus!
Q: What can LFC fans expect to hear on the new album?
A: At your average LFC show, you are bound to hear us perform a high-energy mix of rock, dance, pop, country and funk music...and that's EXACTLY the sound we set out to create on this new album.
A collection of new AND old school alt-country and Americana music by Libido Funk Circus!
2012 saw the release of Libido Funk Circus' first all-original album, Roustabouts & Debutantes, which was an eclectic mix of rock, funk, country and pop music written to mimic the wide array of music the band plays at their live shows. Two and a half years later the band is back with a brand new offering called Heading West.
As opposed to wide variety of styles on Roustabouts & Debutantes, the band has narrowed the focus on Heading West, and the result is a focused collection of old AND new school country songs mixed with a healthy dose of Americana.
